Russel Wright Iroquois Casual Deep Soup bowl in the hard to find late Mustard Gold glaze. These are approximately twice the size (height) of a regular cereal bowl and are a collector favorite for daily use. True to Russel Wright’s aesthetic, they stack and store well.
Mustard Gold was only produced at the very end of Casual’s production, along with Brick Red and Turquoise (Aqua) and replaced Avocado. It can often look the same as Avocado, but the easiest way to spot Mustard Gold (aside from pieces that were known never to have been produced in Avocado, such as the 10″ Individual Platter and Redesigned Butterdish) is they will always be in the restyled shape and will feature the late, small backstamp with no code below.
These two examples are in excellent condition with no damage or noticeable wear. There are a few pieces of glazed over grit on the inside of one of the bowls, but does not detract. These are great daily use pieces, adaptable to today’s lifestyle of bowl foods- noodle dishes, salads, etc. for individual servings, as well as for its intended use as an open vegetable bowl.
The Iroquois Casual line is dishwasher and microwave safe, an ideal vintage line for every day dinnerware.
